  • The index lists the following references to "Greve, Felix Paul (alias Frederick Philip Grove)" -- x, xiv, xv, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, 26, 28, 31, 32, 33, 39, 40, 41, 42, 49, 64, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 85, 86, 87 [sic! for 88], 89, 152, 179. -- Greve's two novels about Else Ploetz, divorced Endell, and widowed von Freytag-Loringhoven -- "Fanny Essler" (1905) & "Maurermeister Ihles Haus" (1907) -- are mentioned on p.7, as are his privately published collection of poetry -- "Wanderungen" (1902) --, and his lyrical play, "Helena und Damon" (1902). FPG's essay "Oscar Wilde" (1903) is mentioned on p.79 & 80
  • There are two letters by Greve to Gide: Letter no. 65, from Berlin, February 3, 1907 (p.74), and Letter no. 78, from Berlin, February 24, 1907 (p.88). -- The other page references contain some highly interesting accounts ABOUT Greve

Note
Acquired as FPG (Greve/Grove) background material: both Greve and Blei translated Andre Gide into German around this time [Greve from 1904 to 1909, when he disappeared from Berlin with a faked suicide]. -- This correspondence starts in July 1904, appears to be dormant after 1911, and -- with a few exceptions in pre-War 1914 [no.170 & 171, both April] and in 1920 [no.172, October]. -- resumes with four letters in 1928 and concludes with also four in 1933. -- Copies of 55 letters written by Greve to Gide were part of the so-called "Second Instalment" of the Spettigue Collection in Januray 1995.
